I can't blog

I have wanted to blog the last few weeks but just can't bring myself to do it. It's like a homework project that you procrastinate over.

So here's some random thoughts.

-I got 3 WOW bucks at work today. (Yes it feels a little 3rd grade) However, it's $3 that can be spent on anything at Trader Joe's. Why did I get WOW bucks? According to my manager, I had great focus on produce. Yay vegetables!

- I put up my parents' Christmas tree today. By myself. It's a nine footer so I felt particularly manly toting it all over the haus. (German-cowboy-manly for house)

- Wendy and I are going to North Carolina for 6 days for a high school pastor interview. Speaking of Carolina, Carolina was a girl in high school who liked me. We met in Chef class and I guess I looked delicious or something.

-I've been riding the bike at the gym the last few days and I like seeing my heart rate on the monitor. I rode 6 miles today. That seems like a lot.

-I've also been eating a lot of cookies (thus the bike-gym thing). I don't even really like cookies. Or cake. I'm way more into ice cream. However, Sue Tafalla makes the best little almond cookie things. I feel like I'm eating a combination of love and a light sweater. Thanks Sue!

Random thoughts

• The new Xbox Experience just launched today and it's pretty cool.
• I really like creating avatars.
• The new Toy Story ride at California Adventure is awesome.
• I have noticed that when I'm really in a good mood and alone, I hum. Every time.
• My junior high has decided to have a reunion. I haven't seen these people for 16 years.
• Waiting is something that I will never be great at.
  

A few months in a nutshell

Okay, just so I remember, this blog is for me. If you are not me and are reading this, enjoy. However, you might not understand everything because its intended for me.

August

• I had 4 phone interviews at Willow and 2 at Kensington.
• I got the worst sunburn of my life and peeled twice. Twice!

September

• I had 3 phone interviews with Kensington.
• Got a call from CF in Florida.
• Went on vacation with family to Lake Mojave.
• Willow told me no.

October

• Wendy and I flew to Florida for a 5 day interview extravaganza.
• I got a no from Kensington
• CF had a hiring freeze due to the economy.
• I did balloons at Trunk or Treat.

November

• I got a call from Hope Community Church in NC.

These past few months have been a season of pain, (with emphasis on the sunburn. Dang, that hurt.), and really, a major testing of my faith. It's been so hard but God has been so faithful to us and encouraged us right when we thought we'd break. Neither of us would trade this time for anything.

My wife is gone.

That's right, she's at camp with HSM this week. Sooo, with her being gone, here are some of the manly things I've done to pass the time:

• Shaved
• Worked out
• Watched war movies
• Went to Circuit City
• Cooked steak over fire
• Burped
• Threw my cat
• Moved a tool chest
  

Now, to be fair here are the girly things I did as well. Note there aren't as many.

• Exfoliated my feet
• Went clothes shopping
• Picked flowers
• Listened to Josh Groban

That's actually worse than I thought. Oh well. It's a good balance. Anyway, I need my wife back. This is the background she left for me on our computer.

This is what I've been saying for years. See, it is possible to be Batman. And I will be.
